How does the design process work?
You will provide your designated designer details on your project through a phone Q & A and/or completing our Online Quote Request Form. Our expert designers listen and work with you efficiently to bring you a realization of what has been in your mind for years. Yes, we are that good. Some folks come to us with designs drawn or just visions imagined. Our typical turnaround for your design and pricing proposal is under 48 hours. We offer design revisions to customers who have either:
- paid a design fee, OR
- the production deposit has been made on the project.

How do they ship?
Our products ship fully insured by interstate motor carrier. Our shipping department will send you tracking, just as you would track an Amazon package or appliance delivery. On the day before your delivery, the driver contact you to arrange a 3-4 hour delivery window, or you can reschedule for the following day.
How are they installed?
They can be installed by anyone that can install a mailbox on a post. You can install these yourself. Some have their community landscaper contractor perform the install. A local fencing company or handyman – ANYONE who can dig a hole in the ground with post hole diggers can plant our product. How long do the monuments last?
Our monuments have a 7-Year Warranty with a 25+ year life expectancy. We mount a stainless plaque on each sign with our contact information should any issues arise in the future. We have assured your investment is a solid one.
What kind of maintenance do they need?
Depending on proximity to the street, (brake dust and dirt), trees above them, (leaves and debris) they are only in need of a light cleaning every 3-4 years. You do this with mild soap and a garden hose. For heavy debris, a soft brush or a power washer on the LIGHTEST/SOFTEST pressure to remove surface dirt. That’s it.
Will they need Repainting?
Just as you would repaint the exterior of your home every seven to ten years, paint oxidizes in the sun and weather. You may need to touch-up some of the elements on your monument. Each unit ships with touch-up paints at delivery. If it’s been years and they may be in the garage of your former HOA President, not to worry. We have more than 30 years of back up files and can easily look up your project for your color details.
Do I need to insure my Monument?
Yes, insure your new sign monument. Vandals and vehicle impact aren’t known to hang around long enough to provide their insurance information!
The number one cause of a monument not exceeding its warranty period, is an impact from a car. In our experience, when the entrance monument has been hit, many times the driver does not remain on scene, thus the replacement costs fall to the HOA Reserves or worse, the Homeowners. Only a few communities have been fortunate enough to be able to make a claim on the driver’s auto policy for replacement.
How do I Light them?
Ground lighting is timeless and elegant. Online sources have many commercial grade LED Solutions to choose from lasting over 100,000 hours. Your local licensed electrician can install them. If you monument is over 8 feet in width, we recommend 2+ light sources per side.
BSM offers integrated LED lighting that illuminates from the top of the monument down onto the face of the sign. *Ask your salesperson about this fantastic option.
Solar Options
We are also asked about solar arrays for locations without electricity. A commercial system, much like what you see on the interstate for town entrances in rural areas, are cost prohibitive for community entrance solutions.
